How to Play
To begin a game of UNO Heroes, you are dealt a hand of cards while one card is placed face-up on the table. On your turn, you must look at your hand and find a card that matches either the color or the number of the face-up card. If the card on the table is a Red 5, you can play any red card or any card of a different color that also has the number 5. If you do not have a matching card, you must draw from the deck.
Strategic play involves using special cards like Skips, Reverses, and Draw Twos to disrupt your opponents. These cards can change the direction of play or force the next person to add more cards to their hand, giving you more time to empty yours. Wild cards are especially useful because they allow you to change the active color to anything you choose, which is perfect for when you are stuck with a color you cannot play.
Crucially, you must pay attention to the UNO button. When you have only two cards left and are about to play one of them, you must click the UNO button. This alerts the game that you are down to your final card. If you successfully play all your cards before your opponents, you win the round and move closer to freeing the locked Superheroes.
