Stellar Assault
Stellar Assault
Stellar Assault begins with a single starfighter positioned against the vastness of space, tasked with surviving 40 consecutive waves of hostile alien forces. Your first run starts with a critical choice between four distinct vessels, each dictating your initial strategy. The Interceptor offers high mobility for those who prefer to dodge incoming fire, while the Destroyer focuses on raw offensive power. If you prioritize survivability through evasion, the Phantom is the primary choice, whereas the Dreadnought provides heavy armor for a more defensive, tank-like approach to the opening skirmishes.
Survival in this environment depends on how you allocate resources between waves. Every successful defense earns upgrade points that are essential for maintaining your ship's combat readiness. You must decide whether to repair hull damage immediately or invest in long-term improvements like reinforced shields and weapon boosts. Deploying combat drones can provide necessary fire support when the screen becomes crowded with enemy projectiles. These tactical decisions between waves are just as important as your reflexes during the heat of battle.
Progression is marked by significant difficulty spikes at regular intervals. Every five waves, a mini-boss enters the fray to test your current upgrade build. These encounters require more precise movement and sustained fire than standard enemy formations. Every ten waves, the game introduces massive boss encounters that serve as the ultimate gatekeepers. These larger entities possess unique attack patterns that demand full utilization of your ship's specific strengths, whether that is the Dreadnought's ability to soak up damage or the Interceptor's speed.
This is a focused single-player experience where the goal is to hold the line for as long as possible. Each session is a fresh attempt to reach the final wave, as progress does not carry over between different play sessions. The lack of persistent upgrades means your success relies entirely on your performance within a single run. By balancing ship repairs with offensive upgrades and mastering the movement of your chosen vessel, you can navigate the escalating chaos of the 40-wave gauntlet.

How to Play
To begin your mission in Stellar Assault, select one of the four available ships from the main menu. Each ship, such as the Interceptor or the Dreadnought, has different handling and durability. Once the game starts, use the WASD keys or the Arrow keys to navigate your ship through the starfield. If you prefer using a mouse, the ship will follow your cursor. Press the Space bar to fire your primary weapons at the incoming alien waves. For players on mobile devices, tap and drag on the screen to move your vessel.
As you destroy enemies, you will clear waves. After each wave, you enter an upgrade screen where you can spend points earned during combat. You can choose to repair your hull, which is vital if you have taken damage, or you can reinforce your shields and boost your weapon power. Combat drones can also be deployed to assist you. Managing these points is the key to surviving the later stages. Every five waves, you will encounter a mini-boss, and every ten waves, a large boss will appear. These enemies have more health and complex firing patterns, requiring you to stay mobile while maintaining constant fire to succeed.
