Reversi
Reversi
The defining mechanic of Reversi is the strategic flipping of disks, where a single move can transform the entire board state. This classic board game focuses on outmaneuvering your opponent by placing your pieces in positions that trap theirs, forcing them to change to your color. It is a game of constant reversal, where having the most pieces early on does not guarantee a win. Instead, the game rewards players who think several steps ahead and understand how to control the edges and corners of the grid.
This version is built for players of all skill levels, offering a range of difficulties from absolute novice to expert. If you are just starting out, the lower settings provide a helpful environment to learn how the flipping mechanic works and how to set up basic traps. As you improve, the higher difficulty levels will challenge your ability to maintain board control and anticipate the computer's tactical responses. It is a clean, focused experience that emphasizes logic and spatial awareness.
Because the board can change so rapidly, the game remains engaging until the very last disk is placed. You might find yourself trailing for most of the match only to execute a series of flips that secures a majority in the final turns. This balance of simple rules and deep tactical possibilities makes it a staple for anyone who enjoys traditional board games that test mental agility without the need for complex setups or long tutorials.

How to Play
To play Reversi, you and the computer take turns placing disks of your assigned color on the board. A move is valid only if it traps one or more of the opponent's disks between the disk you just placed and another disk of your color already on the board. This can be done horizontally, vertically, or diagonally.
When you successfully trap the opponent's pieces, they immediately flip over and change to your color. The game continues until the board is completely filled with disks or until neither player can make a move that results in a flip. At the end of the match, the player with the highest number of disks showing their color is declared the winner. Focus on controlling the edges and corners to protect your pieces from being flipped back.
