Pig Escape is a puzzle-oriented shooter where the primary objective is to launch a pig across the screen to collect stars and reach an exit. The game begins with the pig positioned on a base, and players must carefully calculate their trajectory to move from one platform to another. Each level presents a unique layout of bases, obstacles, and hazards that require precise aiming to navigate. The core challenge lies in the limited landing spots and the presence of dangerous elements like spikes that can end a run instantly. Players must observe the environment and plan their shots to ensure the pig lands safely on the next available base while gathering the necessary items.

Collecting stars is a mandatory requirement for completing each stage. These stars are often placed in difficult-to-reach locations, requiring the player to use the environment to their advantage. Once all stars in a level have been collected, a hole opens up, serving as the exit. The pig must then be launched into this hole to successfully escape and move on to the next challenge. With 25 distinct levels to master, the difficulty increases as new obstacles are introduced, demanding higher levels of accuracy and better timing from the player. Movement is handled through a drag-and-release mechanic that determines the power and direction of the pig's flight. Because the pig can only land on specific bases, every shot must be intentional.
