Ludo with Friends
Ludo with Friends begins with a simple username entry, allowing you to jump straight into a match against players from around the globe. This digital adaptation of the ancient Indian game Pachisi focuses on the core objective of navigating four tokens from the starting area to the center of the board. Each session starts with a dice roll, and the number rolled determines how many spaces a token can advance. The board layout is a cross-shaped path where players must navigate their pieces while avoiding being sent back to the start by opponents. This version is designed for desktop play, ensuring a stable environment for competitive board game enthusiasts.
You can choose to participate in matches with either two or four players. The multiplayer nature of the game means you are always facing real human opponents, which adds a layer of unpredictability to every turn. The goal is to be the first player to get all four tokens into the home triangle at the center. Because the game uses server-side cheat detection, the integrity of every dice roll and movement is maintained throughout the match. This ensures that the outcome of the game depends on the luck of the dice and your tactical decisions rather than external interference.
The game mechanics are straightforward and follow the traditional rules of Ludo. You must roll a specific number to move a token out of the starting base and onto the active track. Once on the track, tokens move clockwise around the board. If your token lands on a square occupied by an opponent's token, that opponent's piece is removed from the board and must return to their starting base. This mechanic creates a constant back-and-forth struggle as players attempt to block each other while racing toward the finish line.
Each session is independent, meaning progress does not carry over between different matches. This allows for a fresh start every time you open the game. The focus remains entirely on the immediate competition at hand. By removing complex login requirements and focusing on a clean interface, the game prioritizes quick access to the board. Whether you are playing a quick two-player duel or a longer four-player battle, the objective remains the same: outmaneuver your rivals and reach the center first.

How to Play
To play Ludo with Friends, you must first choose your player count and enter a name. The game board is divided into four colored sections, each belonging to a different player. You start with four tokens in your base. To move a token out of the base and onto the starting square, you must roll a six on the dice. Once a token is active, you click the dice to roll and then click the token you wish to move based on the number shown.
Movement proceeds clockwise around the outer track of the board. Your goal is to complete a full circuit and enter the home path leading to the center. If you roll a six, you get an additional turn. However, if you land on a square already occupied by an opponent, their token is sent back to their base, and they must roll another six to bring it back into play. This adds a layer of strategy as you decide which token to move to maximize your progress or hinder your rivals.
The game ends when one player successfully moves all four of their tokens into the center triangle. This requires an exact roll to land on the final square. Because this is a desktop-only game, all interactions are handled via mouse clicks. Each match is a standalone event, so you can play as many times as you like without worrying about long-term stats or saved data.
