Simple Klondike Solitaire
Simple Klondike Solitaire
Simple Klondike Solitaire provides a focused environment for the classic card-sorting challenge. The game utilizes a standard deck of 52 cards, requiring players to organize the tableau into four foundation piles. Success depends on the strategic movement of cards between seven columns, where sequences must be built in descending order and alternating colors. This version emphasizes the core mechanics of the genre, stripping away distractions to highlight the logical puzzles inherent in every shuffle. Players must decide when to draw from the stock pile and when to manipulate the existing tableau to reveal hidden face-down cards.
Strategic depth emerges as the board clears and the foundations grow. Moving an Ace to the foundation starts a sequence that must continue with the two, three, and four of the same suit. Managing the tableau columns is equally critical, as empty spaces can only be filled by Kings. This rule creates a bottleneck that requires careful planning to ensure that high-value cards do not block necessary moves. The layout is designed for clarity, ensuring that suit symbols and card values are easily identifiable during fast-paced sessions or long, thoughtful matches.
Every session of Simple Klondike Solitaire starts fresh, offering a new randomized deck for every attempt. The interface supports both mouse interactions and touch inputs, allowing for precise card placement across different devices. By focusing on the fundamental rules of Klondike, the game serves as a digital tabletop for those who appreciate the traditional solitaire experience. The goal remains constant: clear the entire tableau and stock pile by successfully building all four suits from Ace to King in their respective foundation slots.

- Alternating color sequence rules
How to Play
To begin playing, observe the seven columns of the tableau where cards are dealt with only the top card facing up. Your primary objective is to move all cards to the four foundation piles at the top, starting each with an Ace. You can move cards between columns if the card being moved is one rank lower and of the opposite color than the card it is being placed upon. For example, a red six can only be placed on a black seven.
When you run out of moves within the tableau, interact with the stock pile to draw new cards. These cards can be moved to the tableau or directly to the foundations if they fit the sequence. If a tableau column becomes completely empty, you may only place a King in that spot to start a new sequence. Continue flipping face-down cards in the tableau by moving the face-up cards covering them. The game concludes when all cards are successfully sorted into the foundations or when no further legal moves can be made.
