Kikker Memo
Kikker Memo brings the beloved world of Max Velthuijs to your desktop through a classic memory-matching challenge. The game centers on the core mechanic of flipping cards to find identical pairs, featuring original illustrations of Kikker and his friends. You begin with a simple layout of four tiles, which serves as an introduction to the pattern-recognition loop. As you successfully match pairs, you can progress toward more complex arrangements, eventually managing up to 24 tiles on the screen at once. This scaling difficulty allows for a steady improvement in concentration and visual memory skills.
Every session revolves around the collection of butterflies, which are gathered as you play. These butterflies serve as a specific requirement for expanding your collection of memo cards, providing a clear reason to return for multiple sessions. The gameplay is straightforward and focuses entirely on the interaction between the player and the hidden cards. By clicking on the face-down tiles, you reveal the characters underneath, requiring you to remember their positions to make a match on subsequent turns. The loop of revealing, remembering, and matching forms the heart of the experience.
This title is designed specifically for a younger audience, ensuring a clean and friendly environment with no complex menus or distracting elements. The use of authentic artwork from the Kikker series provides a familiar visual landscape for fans of the books. Because the game is played directly in a web browser, it is easily accessible for quick sessions. The focus remains entirely on the puzzle-solving aspect, encouraging players to sharpen their focus as the number of tiles increases from the initial four up to the maximum of twenty-four.
Since progress does not carry over between different play sessions, each time you open the game is a fresh opportunity to test your memory. The goal is always to clear the board by finding all matching pairs using the fewest possible mistakes. The increasing tile counts provide a natural way to track your own improvement in memory retention. Whether you are playing with a small grid or the full 24-tile challenge, the objective remains consistent: observe the illustrations, remember their locations, and pair them up to collect your butterflies.

How to Play
To begin your session, select the number of tiles you wish to play with, starting from a simple four-tile grid. All cards are placed face-down on the screen, hiding the illustrations of Kikker and his companions. Use your mouse to click on any card to flip it over and see the character underneath. Immediately click a second card to try and find a matching pair. If the two cards are identical, you have successfully made a match and those cards will be cleared or remain visible.
If the two cards do not match, they will flip back over after a brief moment. You must pay close attention to the images and their specific locations on the grid so that you can find them again later. As you successfully clear pairs, you will collect butterflies. These butterflies are the key to unlocking new memo cards within the game. Continue flipping and matching until every card on the board has been paired up. Once the board is clear, you can choose to start a new session with the same number of tiles or increase the count up to 24 for a more difficult memory test. Each session is a standalone experience focused on improving your recall speed.
