Matches are structured around a race to five points. Each successful pull that forces an opponent into the hazard results in a point, and the first player to reach the target score is declared the winner. The characters exhibit the signature swaying movement seen in the Drunken game series, adding a layer of unpredictability to the tug-of-war mechanic. Because the characters are not perfectly stable, timing your pulls becomes just as important as the raw speed of your key presses. You must maintain a consistent rhythm to keep the rope moving in your direction while resisting the counter-pulls from the other side.

This entry in the series provides both 1P and 2P modes, allowing for solo practice or direct head-to-head competition. In the single-player mode, you face off against an AI that tests your ability to maintain high-speed inputs over multiple rounds. The two-player mode turns the game into a local social experience where two people share the same keyboard to settle the score.
