Dominoes
Dominoes offers a refined and minimalist approach to the traditional board game, focusing on two distinct styles of play: Draw and Block. In the Draw mode, the gameplay is centered on the necessity of maintaining a playable hand. When you find yourself without a matching tile, you must draw from the reserve until a move becomes possible. This adds an element of chance and resource management, as a larger hand provides more options but brings you further from the goal of emptying your hand. The match continues until one player reaches the target of 100 points, rewarding consistent placement and tactical drawing.
The Block mode provides a more rigid strategic environment. Unlike Draw, if you cannot make a move, you simply pass your turn. This shift in mechanics places a much higher premium on the tiles you are dealt and how you choose to deploy them. Blocking an opponent becomes a primary defensive strategy, as forcing them to pass can quickly turn the tide of the game. Both modes share the same clean, distraction-free visual style, allowing players to focus entirely on the mathematical patterns and the state of the board.
This digital adaptation is designed for a focused, single-player experience against a computer opponent. The lack of complex animations or unnecessary UI elements ensures that the game runs smoothly on desktop systems. Each session is independent, meaning there is no persistence of data between games, which is ideal for players looking for a quick mental exercise without the commitment of a long-term campaign. The game emphasizes the core logic of dominoes, stripping away everything but the essential mechanics of matching and counting.

How to Play
To play Dominoes, you must match the tiles in your hand to the tiles already placed on the board. Each tile is divided into two halves, each with a number of dots. You can only place a tile if one of its halves matches the number on an open end of the domino chain. Use your mouse to select a tile from your hand and click on the corresponding end of the chain to place it.
In Draw mode, if you do not have a matching tile, you must click the draw pile to add new dominoes to your hand until you find a match. In Block mode, you do not draw; if you have no moves, your turn is skipped automatically. The round ends when one player places all their tiles or when neither player can make a move. The first player to accumulate 100 points across all rounds is declared the winner.
Strategy involves planning your moves to ensure you always have a playable tile while trying to limit your opponent's options. Pay close attention to the numbers that have already been played to guess what tiles your opponent might be holding. Managing your hand size in Draw mode and carefully choosing when to block in Block mode are the keys to reaching the 100-point target.
