Aces and Kings Solitaire
Aces and Kings Solitaire
Aces and Kings Solitaire is a sophisticated card game that utilizes two standard decks, offering a significant challenge for fans of the genre. The game demands precision and a methodical approach to card placement. At the start, you are presented with eight empty foundations in the center of the screen. Your objective is to fill these foundations by building four of them up from Ace to King and the other four down from King to Ace. This dual-direction building requirement, regardless of suits, creates a complex puzzle that requires careful planning and a keen eye for available moves.
Strategic management of the various card piles is essential for success. You begin with two reserve piles containing 13 cards each, four tableau piles with one card each, and a stock pile. The tableau piles are unique because they can only hold a single card at a time. This limitation means you must constantly evaluate which card is most beneficial to move to the foundations or the tableau. When a tableau spot opens up, it is automatically filled from the stock pile until the stock is depleted, at which point you gain the flexibility to move any card into an empty tableau space.
Timing your use of the stock and discard piles is a critical component of the game's rhythm. You can deal new cards to the discard pile when you run out of moves, but once the stock pile is empty, your options become limited. The ability to move the top card of a foundation to another foundation adds an extra layer of depth, allowing for advanced maneuvers that can unblock necessary cards. This is a game of patience and foresight, where every move should be considered for its long-term impact on the board state.
Because Aces and Kings Solitaire is a single-player experience with no persistent save data, each game is a standalone test of your card-sorting skills. The lack of suit requirements in the foundations might seem to simplify things, but the restricted tableau and the large number of cards in the reserve piles ensure that winning requires a high level of concentration. It is a rewarding experience for those who enjoy the quiet, tactical nature of complex solitaire variants.

How to Play
To play Aces and Kings Solitaire, use your mouse to move cards between the various piles. Your primary task is to fill the eight foundations in the center. Four foundations are built upwards from Ace to King, while the other four are built downwards from King to Ace. Suits do not matter when building these foundations.
You can move the top card from the reserve piles, the tableau piles, or the discard pile to a foundation if it fits the sequence. Note that each of the four tableau piles can only hold one card at a time. If you run out of moves, click the stock pile to deal a new card to the discard pile. The game ends in a loss if the stock pile is empty and no further moves can be made to the foundations.
